At August, we believe schools are only as strong as the people supporting their students, and those people deserve better tools than they've had.
We've spent five years inside schools, listening to the people who support students. Every part of August reflects what they've taught us about what the work actually requires.
By simplifying the day-to-day and facilitating better collaboration and data insights, we’re working alongside schools to create a community where every student feels supported.
We are August Schools.
And we’re building the future of student success.
At August Schools, protecting student information is our core focus. Our secure platform, trusted by schools nationwide, ensures data confidentiality and integrity.
The best solutions come from listening first. When you understand the real challenges people face, you don’t just build software, you build tools that make their lives easier.
Four years ago, we set out to solve a problem we couldn’t ignore. School nurses were still using outdated EHR software that hadn’t evolved since the ‘90s. During the pandemic, it became clear just how essential their work is, not just for physical health, but for mental health too. We realized we could help by building software that matched their dedication. A platform that was powerful, intuitive, and designed with their input every step of the way.
As we listened to school nurses, we saw how much more their role encompassed, from managing chronic illnesses to supporting mental health, and often acting as the first line of care. When we talked to counselors, social workers, and other school support staff, the need was just as clear. They were piecing together tools that weren’t built for the job. That’s when our vision grew. To create a unified platform where every member of the student support team, from nurses to counselors to athletic trainers, could work together seamlessly, using data to make thoughtful decisions and proactively support students. At August Schools, we’re proud to build tools that make their work easier and their impact greater.
