Consent for SMS Messaging

From time to time, practitioners may contact you through the August Schools platform. We deliver these messages by automated email or SMS.

Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, emailing August Schools at [email protected], or calling +1 (914) 881-9330.


By consenting to SMS messaging, you agree to receive automated text messages from August Schools including:

- conversational threads with practitioners. These messages may include links to forms and questionnaires, embedded rich media, and other content.

- form requests and submission reminders

- notices for expiring documents.

- medication replenishment reminders

Messages initiated by practitioners will be indicated in the first message of a thread. You may reply to these messages at any time to communicate with the practitioner.

Messages may be delivered from a pool of automated phone numbers local to the state where the school is located. This pool of numbers may change over time. Receipt of messages from a particular number does not indicate that the number is associated with a particular practitioner. We will always indicate the practitioner who initiated the thread in the first message delivered from a number in the pool.

Terms of Service

You may opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. You can also email August Schools at [email protected], or call +1 (914) 881-9330. If you want to start again, submit an updated Consent for SMS Messaging form in the August Schools Portal.

United States Participating Carriers Include AT&T, T-Mobile®, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular®, MetroPCS®, InterOp, Cellcom, C Spire Wireless, Cricket, Virgin Mobile and others.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive at most five monthly automated and variable conversational messages. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your cell phone number, your carrier's name, and the date, time and content of your messages, as well as other information that you provide. We may use this information to contact you and to provide the services you request from us.

By subscribing or otherwise using the service, you acknowledge and agree that we will have the right to change and/or terminate the service at any time, with or without cause and/or advance notice.
